Toefl example essay
Do you prefer to live in a big city or a small town?
Living in a big city and a small city has its own advantages and disadvantages. While some people prefer to live in a big city, others prefer to live in a small town. However, I prefer to live in a big city for the reasons that will be mentioned in the below.
First of all, I prefer to live in a big city because I am a student. Big cities have always good universities because many people live there. I want to study at a good university because I am a student. Big cities can provide me with this opportunity. Most highly educated people live in a big city. So, if I study at a school in a big city, very intelligent and experienced professors will teach me. That is good for my education. Also, the universities or colleges in big cities usually have a hug number of students. So, I can have many friends and learn from them. That is also important for studying.
Not only living in a big city is good my education, but also, it is more fun than living in a small town. For example, if I live in a small town, I won’t have anything to do during my free time expect I will ride a bicycle or play any sport game. In contrast, if I live in a big city, I can spend my free time very fun in many ways such as watching a movie in the cinema, going to a zoo, shopping, or going to beach.
Furthermore, I can easily find a job if I live a big city. It is easier to find a job in a big city than a small town. Because most big corporations, industries, and government buildings are in big cities, I can have an opportunity to work in the big corporations in a big city. I think job is the most important thing in human life. So, I prefer to live in big city in order to have a job.
In conclusion, I prefer to live in a big city because I want to have good education, live fun and have a job. Big cities have good universities, offer fun to people and have big companies that can offer my dream job for me. For the reasons above, I definitely prefer to living in a big city than living in a small town.
